American Coin Treasures Patriotic Pennies Collection, Genuine Steel Penny, Shell Casing Cents, WWII Coins, Certificate of
$0.00
- TOP QUALITY COLLECTION – The set includes 12 Lincoln cents minted during World War II. A copper shortage in 1943 led the United States Government to issue a zinc coated steel penny. Shell casings were used in 1944 through 1946, which produced a slight color change from the original Lincoln Wheat Cent. The 1943 penny is the only US penny that may be picked up with a magnet. All dates are readable on each coin. The patriotic theme continues with a bald eagle holding a red, white and blue shield.
- RARE SPECIMANS FOR COLLECTORS – These rare pieces are highly popular for beginning coin collectors, hobbyists and people of all ages. This historic collection includes the 1943 steel penny as well as 1944, ’45 and ’46 coins struck from shell casings off battlefields. Issues from Philadelphia, Denver and San Francisco mints, mounted with wheat backs also visible. The set is housed in a 4 by 5 inch clear acrylic that is sonically sealed for protection.
- CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY – Includes a genuine Certificate of Authenticity. The certificate attests to the fact that the coins in this piece are genuine United States coins. Genuine United States coins were produced in limited quantities by the U.S. Government, then authenticated and inspected for quality by a professional numismatist, and certified in collectible condition.
- GREAT GIFT – Comes packaged, perfect for the collector, your dad, husband, boyfriend, brother, sister, daughter, son, mother, father or special someone. Great for birthdays, Christmas, Father’s Day, special events, graduation, anniversaries and retirements. Coins are a perfect gift as they detail time and spirit through their obverse and reverse designs, images, wording and dates. Coins make fun keepsakes for travel, special events and holidays. Coins are historical, educational and collectible.
- OUR PROMISE – Items include a 30 day money back guarantee and a 1-Year parts & labor manufacturer’s warranty. We will repair or replace, at our discretion, any defective product for a period of 1-year from the date of purchase. Items will have readable dates. Decent assortmentFor the price, I liked the assortment of different coins. Good for beginning collectors or historical sources. Not for graded collectors.

Get what you pay forWorth the price but the coins are definitely cleaned which does hurt the value! I would have preferred the coins be brown than cleaned. All in all this is a nice set for the amount you pay.
Kenneth barlow –
Some of the coins in the pack you can tell have been cleaned beforeYou can tell a few of the coins have been cleaned wich screws up the value

Excellent Merchandise and ServiceExactly as described and as expected. I made a terrible mistake by not finding it in the box with other items and wrote to Amazon stating it was missing from the shipment. Soon after, I discovered the item under other items and I wrote to try to correct it. I’m VERY sorry that I messed up. As usual, service from Amazon was very good and the merchandise from its suppliers was of high quality. The merchandise was great, the service was great … what more can I say – except, once again, I’m sorry for creating a problem that did not exist. Thank you for your anticipated understanding.

War Years???I was very disappointed with this itemThe coins are fine and look good. But, it’s labeled WW II War Years.Problem:First there is NO 1941 coin. As I recall from history the war began for us on December 7, 1941.Second there are NO 1942 coins.Third there are 1946 coins. As I recall the war ended in 1945. So why are there 1946 coins.Evidently whoever designed and put this together failed their US History class in high school.I am thinking of returning this item and getting a refund. One plus, I did receive the item on time and in good condition.
