VIP Art Fair builds new technologies for the world's most prominent contemporary art galleries to showcase available works by the artists they represent, for sophisticated collectors to connect with these galleries, and for the international art community to experience and engage with art.
VIP Art Fair translates the experience of a traditional bricks-and-mortar fair to an online environment, serving as a site for exploration and conversation while empowering the relationship between collector and dealer. VIP Art Fair is a filter to the most prominent contemporary art galleries in the world.
As the company grows, it will continue to innovate and engage the art community with new ways to connect, experience and understand art.
TEAM
Lisa Kennedy, Chief Executive Officer
Lisa joins VIP Art Fair with an impeccable record of more than 15 years of leadership and innovation in Internet commerce and media, with expertise in marketing, strategy, operations and technology. Most recently,Lisa was Executive Vice President at Quidsi Inc, one of the fastest growing internet retailers of consumer products in the U.S., where she was responsible for growing revenues nearly tenfold from $30M, culminating in an acquisition by Amazon. Lisa holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Severin Andrieu-Delille, VP of Engineering
Severin comes to VIP Art Fair from StyleCaster Media Group where he acted as Chief Technology Officer. He brings years of experience in building complex websites, platforms and mobile apps. Prior to StyleCaster, he was Founder and Lead Engineer at Naia Web Services. He also brings strong project and team management experience from earlier work as a Production Manager and Producer in the film and television industry. Severin holds a BS in Computer Science from Tufts University.
Liz Parks, Fair Director
With more than 15 years of experience in the art industry, Liz was most recently Sales Director at Artnet, the world¹s largest network to buy, sell and research fine art online. There she played a key role in more than doubling its revenue and number of gallery clients. She is also an art advisor offering comprehensive expertise in internationally-recognized contemporary art.
Nayeli Stutz, Associate Director
At VIP Art Fair, Nayeli merges her passion for art with extensive experience in high-level relationship management within the Internet, publishing and financial industries. An industrial engineer by training, she also received her MA in Modern Art, Connoisseurship and the History of the Art Market from Christie’s Education in New York. Nayeli joined VIP Art Fair from New York's Skarstedt Gallery.
Cristina Biaggi, Associate Director
After completing a BA at the University of Basel, Switzerland, Cristina moved to New York to pursue her career in the global art world. After having worked in several of the finest international museums, she joined VIP Art Fair to become part of the world's first online art venture. Cristina holds an MA in Art Business from Sotheby's Institute of Art, New York.
Emily Everhart, Marketing Associate
Emily joined VIP Art Fair enthusiastic about being part of a company that is influencing the ways the art world embraces technology and social media. Passionate about art business strategy and communications, she comes from the auction side of the art market, bringing to VIP her experience as Director of Marketing and PR for Cowan's in Cincinnati. She holds a BA in Art History and is completing her MBA.
Nicholas Corich, Marketing Associate
Nicholas is pleased to work with a team that is enthusiastic about the international art community. Introduced to the New York art scene by Phillips de Pury & Co and the James Cohan Gallery, he is excited to call upon all his experiences in creating and reviewing artworks in order to produce engaging content for the web. He holds an M.A. in Contemporary Art from Sotheby’s Institute of Art, in addition to degrees in Printmaking and French.
Brian Johnson, Senior Developer
Brian comes to VIP Art Fair with a passion for developing cutting-edge interactive environments. Having worked on digital marketing campaigns for clients including Canon, Nintendo, Lenovo, and Pepsi, Brian brings with him a curiosity for developing trends in new media interaction and technology. His background includes degrees in Computer Science from Tufts University, Media Studies from New School, and an ongoing PHD in Philosophy of Communication from the European Graduate School.
Ted Olsen, Senior Developer
Ted comes to VIP Art Fair with years of experience working with web applications. In his previous position at SumTotal Systems, he assisted large domestic and international customers with customizations and implementations, and he has extensive experience designing solutions to adapt existing software to address the needs of clients such as Ernst & Young, Dubai Holdings, and N. M. Rothschild & Sons. He has a BS in Computer Engineering from the University of Florida.
Dan Taraschi, Junior Developer
Dan comes to VIP Art Fair straight from the University of Pittsburgh as a recent Computer Science/Political Science graduate. After freelancing as a web developer throughout high school and college, he is excited to be focused on building the VIP Art Fair platform and brand.
Founders
VIP Art Fair was founded by James and Jane Cohan, owners of James Cohan Gallery in New York, along with Silicon Valley entrepreneurs Jonas and Alessandra Almgren.
